Jacqueline Gibson
Jacqueline Gibson is a textile artist working from her home in Attadale where she creates unique garments, accessories and art pieces including a number of award winning, wearable-art pieces, which Jacqueline likes to think of as sculpture for the body.
Jacqueline works with many materials and an experienced maker of felt. Using Australian wool fibres in her work enables Jacqueline to create from a local sustainable material using the oldest of textile crafts. Jacqueline is also experimenting with using plastics and other discarded items - the challenge being to use traditional techniques in a non-traditional way and combine unwanted materials with fibre, stitch, print, paint and dyes to develop multi layered works of art.
Jacqueline Gibson has participated in numerous art and fashion events and won many awards.
