Fiona Buchanan

Fiona Buchanan is a Western Australian artist working in both pastels and oils. Fiona paints the ocean, portraits and still life interiors, and loves transparency, glass, fabric and water.

Fiona trained in theatre arts as a scenic artist and designer, believing nothing is impossible with paint, that incredible illusions can be created simply by applying liquid colour.

Fiona Buchanan is inspired by the beauty of the earth; the power and majesty of the natural world; the light and colour, and the crazy energy of the ocean.
